This Privacy Policy describes how The Fire Within ("The Fire Within," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our websites, online community, digital products, software applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It also explains the rights and choices available to you regarding your information.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • Our websites and web pages, including this site

  • The Fire Within community (hosted on Whop)

  • Our digital products and storefronts (including products sold via Payhip)

  • Our social media presence (including Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook)

  • Our internal software applications, including tools used to publish our own content to our own social media accounts

Our publishing applications are internal tools. They do not offer public sign-ups, do not have third-party users, and do not collect, store, or process personal information from anyone other than us. They access only The Fire Within's own accounts using credentials we control.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

  • Contact information, such as your name and email address, when you contact us, join our community, subscribe to communications, or purchase a product

  • Account and community information, such as your username and any content you choose to post in our community

  • Transaction information, such as records of products you purchase. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (such as Payhip, Whop, or Stripe); we do not receive or store your full payment card details

  • Communications, such as messages you send us by email or through community channels

Information collected automatically

When you visit our websites or interact with our content, certain information may be collected automatically by us or by the platforms hosting our content, such as:

  • Device and browser type, operating system, and screen characteristics

  • IP address and approximate (city-level) location derived from it

  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and time spent on pages

  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7)

Information from third parties

We may receive information from platforms we operate on (such as Whop, Payhip, Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook), such as analytics about our community, audience, or content performance. This information is typically aggregated and is governed by those platforms' own privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Services

  • To process transactions and deliver digital products you purchase

  • To operate and moderate our community

  • To respond to your questions, requests, and feedback

  • To send administrative information and, where permitted, marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)

  • To analyze usage and improve our content and offerings

  • To protect the security and integrity of the Services

  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data only when we have a legal basis to do so, including:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide products and services you request

  • Legitimate interests — to operate, improve, and secure our Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights

  • Consent — for example, for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time

  • Legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — with vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics), under obligations to protect your information

  • Platform partners — when you interact with our presence on third-party platforms (Whop, Payhip, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook), those platforms receive information under their own policies

  • Legal requirements — when required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Fire Within, our community, or others

  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect your information consistent with this Policy

6. Your Privacy Rights

Rights for EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal exceptions

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

Rights for California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose

  • Access the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you

  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions

  • Correct inaccurate personal information

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note that we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA

  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information — note that we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA

  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law.

Other U.S. state privacy laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others) may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out under their state's law. We extend the rights described above to those residents to the extent required.

Exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at thefirewithincommunity@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, as permitted by law.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites and the platforms hosting our content may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Some features may not function properly without certain cookies. Where required by law, non-essential cookies are used only with your consent.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use, including Whop, Payhip, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for interpreting these signals, our Services do not currently respond to them, except that we honor Global Privacy Control signals where legally required, as noted above.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, take additional steps to notify you where required by law. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
